Trent flopped down on the sofa in the den, doing
his best to ignore the worried look Eve was giving him. She eyed
the computer screen, noting the clock there saying 11:35 am.
Eve: Well, you look like you've been up all night.
Trent: Just about. Tried to sleep, but someone
kept me up.
Eve: Oh?

Trent: Wipe that smirk off your face, young
lady. It was Christian and before you ask, nothing happened.
We're best friends and he's straight.
Thank god we're best friends. He hogs the
bed. If he were my boyfriend, I would have kicked his ass out of
my bed and stolen all the blankets back.

Eve: I thought he was out on that Perfect Match
date thing Poppy and I set him up with last night? . Did it
bust or something?

Trent: Oh, he was on that all right. Do the
words, "he's gone completely head-over-heels-insane," ring any
bells to you?

Eve: What do you mean?

Trent: He woke me up at god awful in the
morning, rambling on and on about whether or not I believed in
love-at-first sight.

Eve: Oh my god, that's so sweet! I'm so happy
for him! Do you know if the girl felt the same way about him?
Trent: [Mumbling] I don't think you'd feel the
same way if you were the one that was woken up.

Trent: Jesus, I pray to god she does. I can't
imagine going through another break up with Christian's heart being
broken in the process. Bad enough he keeps dredging up Poppy, as
if she never liked him to begin with.

Eve: Well, what happened between Poppy and Christian
is their business, Trent. There isn't much we can do about
it. Christian needs to just let it go and move on. I don't
think Poppy did anything on purpose. I just think they just didn't
have any chemistry.
Trent: There seems to be a hell of a lot of chemistry
with this Kaede girl. You should have seen him, all wound up and
restless. It was sort of cute in a train wreck sort of way.

Eve: I hope she's nice. I'd hate to see
Christian being used.
Trent: I think he's a decent judge of character.
He might be clueless around girls, but I think we can at least trust
that if this girl isn't any good, she won't stick around for long.

Trent: But if she's a keeper, I think he needs a
little help...

After pulling out his phone from his back pocket,
Trent punched out several commands on the keypad as he searched..

Eve: What are you doing?

Trent: Just call me Cupid.
Ah, right on! I kept the number of my memory
dial.

Trent: Yes... Northridge Flowers? Yes, I
would like to send a bouquet. My name is Christian. My
message is to Kaede... yeah. You ready?

Trent: Please write on the note:
Dear, Kaede, had a great time last night. Your
smile still brightens my day. I only hope these flowers make you
as happy as you made me feel. Hopefully you'll consider
going out with me next Saturday again. Please call me to let me
know if you are available again then.
I look forward to hear your beautiful voice again,
Christian.
Thanks...here is my information....
