Christian and Kaede pulled up at last in front of
her house, the couple walking so close they almost touched. Kaede traversed
the stairs ahead of the young man she had enjoyed the evening with.
Christian had removed his glasses moments after departing the bike and
rubbed his eyes. His eyes ached in protest of remaining unrested
all this time.
|
|

Kaede turned as Christian stepped up to walk her
directly to the door, and she was admittedly nervous about what their
parting was doing to her heart. Christian slipped his glasses back on,
wanting to get at least one last look at her.
Kaede: [Nervous giggle] So, um, this is me.
Christian: I guess it's time to let you get some
rest. I'm sure you're sick of me by now.
|
|

She raised a hand, carefully lifting it to touch
the smooth side of Christian's cheek, admiring the texture beneath her
fingers.
Kaede: Thank you again for taking me out.
Christian: ::Blush:: Uhm, no problem. Thank
you for going out with me. I had a really great time.
|
|

It was as if time stood still for the two young
people, with only their heartbeats pounding in their ears. Kaede
looked off into the distance, not wanting the evening to ever end.
Christian saw it as his chance and leaned in to press his lips to her
cheek.
|
|

But as he did, Kaede's head swiveled and tilted
upwards to look at Christian as she gathered the courage to end their
first date. Whether it was fate, or timing, only the Gods above
knew.
Their lips accidentally met.
|
|

Both caught off guard by these unexpected turn
of events. Kaede decided in that very moment that it was right.
In so doing, deepened a kiss that lasted several minutes with the moon
as their sensual backdrop.
Kaede: [Soft whimper] Hmmm...
.
|
|

After they parted, Kaede took a shaking step
back, flushed. Lifting a hand to her lips, she stared up at
Christian.
Kaede: [Blushing] Oh, um. Yes, I suppose that
was an accident. Yes. But, uh, it was very nice regardless.
Christian nodded, unable to speak. He
slowly exhaled, his eyes full of longing.
|
|

Reluctantly, with the door at her back, Kaede
resigned to let Christian get home, before too much longer. After all,
all good things must in turn, come to an end.
Kaede: I had a really good time. I wouldn't
mind going out with you again. In fact, I wouldn't mind getting
more serious. That is, um...if you don't mind?
|
|

Christian: The only thing I mind is having to
go. But the evening had to end sometime, however, I would love to
see you again. How about next week? We can figure out the
details when my head isn't floating around with the clouds.
|
|

Kaede: [Her pulse still raced] I'd like that very much. But I
guess this means...goodnight, Christian.
She opened the door then, slipping back inside, and very slowly
closed the door once more.
|
|

Christian turned back toward his motorcycle, his shoes
crunching down on the path underneath him as he walked. Taking
deep breaths of the cool night air didn't seem to calm down his racing
pulse or still his swimming head.
But he didn't let it bother him all that much.
She was the one, of that, he was certain.
